The Northfield Education Foundation was resurrected in 2002, after a decade-long hiatus, by a group of educators, community members and business people committed to helping Northfield's children achieve academic excellence.
In this era of tighter Federal and State budgets, plus other financial pressures facing the school district, many people have seen the need to supplement and support school-related endeavors.
The NEF tries to creatively finance those types of educational opportunities for Northfield’s K-8 Community School. The Foundation seeks to cultivate relationships with the business community and private contributors in order to maintain a financial base that may support additional programs for the school district.
The NEF is a non-profit organization, which means contributions may be tax deductible. The NEF, with its own board of trustees and regulations, operates independently of Northfield’s Board of Education.
Come join the NEF for Movie Night this Friday, October 24th! Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the movie starts at 6:30 p.m.! This week's movie is "It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown" with bonus feature "It's Magic Charlie Brown". Admission is free! Download the flyer from the Flyers & Forms section for more information!
